Class Descriptions

At Joy of Pilates, we are dedicated to helping clients achieve their fitness goals. We offer a variety of classes for all fitness levels, and our small class sizes allow instructors to focus on your personal needs and goals. Our classes change, so please go to our online scheduler for current classes and schedules.

Gentle/Easy & All Level Classes

Balls Band & Barre: Join us for a FUN class! You will get a full-body workout with lots of abs, stretching and energy! The Instructor will use Balls & Barrel work to improve your core strength, coordination, balance & stretching. The Barre will get you working your glutes and incorporate Ballet moves and elongation

Better Bones, Balance & Stretch: This wonderful gentle class is focused on strengthening, balance work, bone density and great STRETCHING! There is no floor work and we use a chair to sit and stand throughout class. Join this super fun class with lots of great energy, fun music and good times.

BOSU Pilates/TRX Fusion: Join us for a super fun class combining Bosu exercises and Pilates/TRX strengthening. There will be some great cardio intervals to get your heart pumping. And wonderful Pilates and TRX strengthening to keep you super fit. Come have fun and get workout in!

Gentle OsteoPilates*: Ideal class for you if bone building is your goal. Exercises will focus on alignment, back strengthening, balance and overall safe exercises for bone building while having fun.  A full-body strengthening class for those who want a no-pressure pace. Focus is on Balance, pelvic floor, posture, relaxation, and flexibility. Go at your tempo. Nice music, nice times.

Healthy Spine: For those who know or are learning the Pilates Principles and want a good workout that is focused on safe PT-based exercises for the for the back! A full-body strength class to further balance, muscle building, and stretching.

Kind & Gentle*: This Chair Class is perfect for anyone looking for a workout that includes strengthening, balance work, posture and stretching without going to the floor. Props can include dynabands, hand weights, barre and springboard. Great class where you will leave feeling better than you came.  The music will be fun and the hour will fly by!

Pilates Flow: Pilates Flow is an all-level mat class offered to those looking to strengthen the deepest layers of muscles and strengthen the mind body connection. Focus is placed on strengthening and stabilizing the core, pelvis, and spine using Pilates exercises in a continuous flow of movement. (This class does include flexion but offers options for those who want flexion free). This is the perfect class for the Pilates Lover!

Pilates & Props: What will it be? BOSU®? Ball? Floor? This class is never the same twice. Optimum cross-training for all your other activities.

Pilates TRX Fusion!: This fantastic TRX class will give you a full body upper and lower body workout with tons of core!  TRX is excellent cross training for your activities and overall strengthening. Whether beginning a fitness journey or pushing towards your summit, TRX Training helps you to move better, feel better, and live better. The last 10 minutes of class will centered on stretching and releasing your muscles for a whole body experience.

Strength & Balance*: For those of you Pilates enthusiasts looking for a wonderful class this is your home! This class focuses on improving strength, flexibility, posture, and balance. With the use of various props (flex bands, stability balls, and toning balls), students will learn proper breathing patterns, while engaging the deep core muscles. The instructors present multiple levels, which allow beginners, intermediate, and advanced students to work at their own pace.

Strength & Stretch Perfect gentle class for all levels—whether you’re new to Pilates or simply looking to refresh your Pilates repertoire. This class combines Mat exercises and Props to really work your core and get stronger. Each class ends with relaxing stretches and muscle release on the foam roller. Take on the day feeling stretched and strong!

Sunrise Pilates: What a great way to start the day! Take a Pilates class and add a few props to keep it spicy. What will it be? Circle? Bands? Ball? This class is never the same twice. Optimum cross-training for all your other activities and feel great for the rest of the day!

*These classes are flexion free.

Advanced Classes

Please consult with studio before joining advanced classes.

C.O.R.E!: For those of you Pilates enthusiasts looking for a challenge  C.O.R.E class is for you! This advanced class is never the same twice -with the use of various props (TRX, BOSUs, flex bands, stability balls, medicine balls) be ready to work HARD! EXCELLENT cross training for athletes to keep your core strong.

Strength Circuit!: This challenge class will alternate between Tabata and TRX. Tabata training is a style of high-intensity interval training with 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest. TRX uses your body-weight to gain strength and heart health! Through Suspension Training and body-weight exercise you can turn your body into a core strengthening, fat burning, better balanced, more flexible healthy living machine! This is an advanced class, so be ready to work, sweat and get FIT. Start your day with a high-intensity workout!

Fit Club: Fit Club is a fast-moving cardio and strength training mix. We incorporate Tabata method, TRX, small free weights and Pilates. Fun upbeat music to keep you energized. Be ready for a hard workout and sweat.   Join the Club! Transform your body! GET STRONG & Feel AMAZING!
