Class Descriptions

At Joy of Pilates, we are dedicated to helping clients achieve their fitness goals. We offer a variety of classes for all fitness levels, and our small class sizes allow instructors to focus on your personal needs and goals. Our classes change, so please go to our online scheduler for current classes and schedules.

Arms Abs & Assets!: All level Mat class! This class will challenge your deep core muscles using a variety of Pilates props to get your abs, arms, and buns in super shape! (See Mat Group Classes.)

Arc Barrel: This all-level class is ideal for getting an intense core workout using the arc barrel. 6 max per class. Pre-registration required. Save your spot today! (See Mat Group Classes.)

BOSU® & Balls: Get ready for a fun, dynamic class that combines BOSU and ball work to help you improve your core strength, flexibility and balance. Great class for all levels! (See Mat Group Classes.)

#CardioCircuit!: The cardio Circuit is an amazing class that combines various pieces of Pilates equipment from rings to barrels to fitness balls to reformers, giving you a calorie burning workout while focusing on toning muscles evenly to help you achieve a balanced physique and stunning posture. *Not ideal for beginners or major knee issues. Gentle OsteoPilates: Ideal class for you if bone building is your goal. Exercises will focus on alignment, back strengthening, balance and overall safe exercises for bone building while having fun.  A full-body strengthening class for those who want a no-pressure pace. Balance, pelvic floor, posture, relaxation, and flexibility. Go at your tempo. Nice music, nice times. (See Mat Group Classes.)

Healthy Spine: For those who know or are learning the Pilates Principles and want a good workout that is focused on safe PT based exercises for the for the back! A full-body strength class to further balance, muscle building, and stretching. (See Mat Group Classes.)

Kind & Gentle: This is the perfect class for those who want a nice gentle workout, both seated and standing. Focus on posture, core, balance, and stretching. (See Mat Group Classes.)

Pilates & Props: What will it be? BOSU®? Ball? Floor? This class is never the same twice. Optimum cross-training for all your other activities. (See Mat Group Classes.)

Pilates Mat Basics: Perfect class for anyone new to Pilates or just wants a refresher class that takes its time and focuses on quality form. The “Powerhouse” muscles will be the focus with Pilates’ principles at the heart of the workout. (See Mat Group Classes.)

Pilates Challenge: A continuation of Pilates & Props, the same fun continues, using props or not. A challenge class with focus on building deeper inner strength and power! Great cross-training for athletes and those who want to be strong and fit for life. (See Mat Group Classes.)

Pilates & TRX: This unique drop in class is a creative mix of classic Mat Pilates work and TRX resistance training. It’s the best of both worlds. all levels welcome. (See Mat Group Classes.)

Springs & Balls: The best class for those who want to add Cadillac-like exercises to their program. You won’t believe the full body workout you’ll get. The ball will challenge and activate deep core muscles. Be ready to find yours! (See Mat Group Classes.)

Strength & Stretch: Perfect gentle class for all levels—whether you’re new to Pilates or simply looking to refresh your Pilates repertoire. This class combines Mat exercises and Props to really work your core and get stronger. Each class ends with relaxing stretches and muscle release on the foam roller. Sunrise Pilates!: What a great way to start the day! Take a Pilates class and add a few props to keep it spicy. What will it be? Circle? Bands? Ball? This class is never the same twice. Optimum cross-training for all your other activities.And feel great for the rest of the day! (See Mat Group Classes.)

TRX Core Pilates!: Join us for an hour of full-body training with focus on the core! You’ll work with the TRX suspension trainer and your favorite Pilates Mat props. This class is based on building strength! Each class will be a mix of awesomeness! (See Mat Group Classes.)

TRX & Tabata: Looking for a challenge in your workout? TRX & Tabata is a high-energy class combining strength, intervals, and cardio. Take your workout to the next level! (See Mat Group Classes.)

Reformer/TRX Series: The Reformer provides finely tuned exercise resistance that allows you to work very precisely to develop good alignment, core strength, and flexibility. With endless exercises, this is one of the most versatile STOTT Pilates pieces of equipment. Class size limited to 4-5. Must have prior Reformer experience—contact studio. (See Reformer Series.)
